Pumpkin spice season is here, and there is no way we're missing out!
One of our favorite ways to combine these seasonal flavors with our sourdough English muffins is to make a form of pumpkin french toast, like this.
To make this ‘Pumpkin Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Bites’ recipe first grab a bag of your favorite sourdough Dam Good™ English Muffin variety (we used vegan ‘Cinnamon Swirl’)!
What you'll need:
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 Dam Good™ English Muffin sliced into cubes
- Set a large non-stick skillet set over medium heat, add a small amount of butter and melt.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Dip the English muffin cubes into the mixture, coat all sides, and then place on the hot skillet. Cook until each side is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Serve hot with maple syrup and enjoy!
