Cinnamon Apple Toast

Look no further than Food52’s “Cinnamon Apple Toast” recipe by My Stir Crazy Kitchen for an easy and delicious recipe to spice up your breakfast routine!

And the best part? You can make it with your favorite Dam Good™ sourdough English muffin variety -- this time, we used our vegan "Cinnamon Swirl!"

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Ingredients:
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • 4 slices of your favorite Dam Good™ sourdough English muffin variety
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
Directions:
  1. Set your oven to broil.
  2. Next, spread the softened butter over one side of each slice of the English muffin.
  3. Then, toss the thinly sliced apple with the cinnamon and sugar.
  4. Layer the apples on top of the buttered English muffin slices. Top with more sugar, if desired.
  5. Finally, broil for 2-3 minutes or until the bread is toasted and the sugars are caramelized.

In addition, for a plant-based option, you can easily replace the butter with vegan butter to create a delicious and vegan-friendly version of this recipe.
