Veggie Burger

In my quest to find the perfect plant-based burger, I recently came across Abbot’s Butcher Veggie Burgers at Whole Foods Market. With a mission to create delicious meals without compromising on nutrition, I knew I had to give this burger a try. Paired with our sourdough Multigrain Dam Good™ English Muffins and a few other ingredients, I crafted a veggie burger experience that’s hearty, satisfying, and bursting with flavor.

What truly sets this veggie burger apart is its clean ingredient list and the way it mimics the taste and texture of a traditional burger—without the meat! To take things up a notch, I combined it with Cabot Cheddar Cheese and a dollop of Haven’s Kitchen Aioli, all sandwiched between our tangy, nutty sourdough Multigrain Dam Good™ English Muffin. The result? A meal that’s so delicious, I just had to share the recipe with you!

This isn’t just any veggie burger—it’s a plant-based creation that delivers on all fronts, from taste to nutrition. And of course, I couldn’t resist adding a side of roasted purple cauliflower and oven-roasted french fries to round out this satisfying meal!

Veggie Burger Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 Sourdough Multigrain Dam Good™ English Muffin
  • 1 Abbot’s Butcher Veggie Burger
  • 2 slices of Cabot Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of Haven’s Kitchen Aioli
  • 1 tablespoon of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • A few leaves of fresh lettuce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
  1. Preheat the Pan: Start by preheating a non-stick grill pan over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sourdough English Muffin: While the pan is heating, fork-split your Dam Good™ Multigrain Sourdough English Muffin.
  3. Grill the Onions: Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the hot pan and let it heat for 2 minutes. Add the sliced onions to the pan and cook until they become soft and caramelized, stirring occasionally, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the onions from the pan and set them aside.
  4. Cook the Veggie Burger: In the same pan, place the Abbot’s Butcher Veggie Burger patty and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until heated through and slightly crispy on the outside.
  5. Melt the Cheese: While the veggie burger is finishing cooking, place the slices of Cabot Cheddar Cheese on top of the patty and cover the pan with a lid for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese melts.
  6. Toast the English Muffin: While the cheese is melting, toast your split Dam Good™ Multigrain Sourdough English Muffin until golden and crisp.
  7. Assemble the Burger: Spread Haven’s Kitchen Aioli on the bottom half of the toasted English muffin. Layer on the grilled onions, the cheesy veggie burger patty, fresh lettuce, and top with the other half of the English muffin.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Serve your veggie burger hot, with a side of roasted purple cauliflower and oven-roasted french fries for a complete, satisfying meal!
